Who we are
Rede was founded to serve Indigenous, Northern, and rural communities across Western Canada, places where resources were tight and no one else was doing the work. That origin shaped everything about how we operate: the relationships we build, the data we rely on, and the long-term view we take.
We have grown since then, and the organizations we work with have grown with us. But the approach has not changed. We are still a small, nimble firm. We still show up for the long term. We still believe the people operating the buildings are essential to any energy management program worth running.
We are engineers, but that is not all we are. We are project managers, data analysts, and long-term partners who work alongside your team rather than delivering a report and moving on.

Every recommendation we make is grounded in building performance data. If we cannot measure it, we will not claim it.

Matthew founded Rede in 2008 to serve Indigenous, Northern, and rural communities that larger engineering firms were not reaching. Nearly two decades later, he leads a team that has helped organizations across Western Canada reduce their energy costs.

Marco brings deep expertise in recommissioning, energy auditing, and building performance diagnostics, along with a rigorous approach to data analysis and measurement verification.
